Born on December 11, 1992, Trey Williams is an American football player who currently plays as a running back for the New Jersey Generals in the United States Football League. After being a part of the college football team of Texas A&M, he played for several teams like New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), San Antonio Commanders (AAF), and Seattle Dragons (XFL).
During his days at Dekaney High School, he played on the school football team as the running back. In his sophomore year, Trey Williams scored 18 touchdowns, rushed 1,930 yards, and was honored as the District 13-5A Newcomer Of The Year. Then, in his junior year, he scored 20 touchdowns, ran 2290 yards, had 251 carries, and received the District 13-5A MVP award and Class 5A second-team All-Star honors. Trey was considered a 5-star recruit by several sporting experts. Moreover, he was appraised as the 2nd best running back in the country, the 4th best player in Texas, and the 18th best athlete in the country. Williams was also called the “fastest athlete in high school football” by ESPN.
When it comes to the high school stats, Trey Williams finished with 86 touchdowns and 8,110 rushing yards with an 8.7 yards average. He even played baseball (with a .383 batting average) and was an all-star in all four years.
Then, after getting offers from several top universities like Arkansas, Baylor, Louisville, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, and Oregon, Williams got into Texas A&M.
In his freshman year, he scored 5 rushing touchdowns and rushed 376 yards on 65 carries. Then, in his sophomore year, playing as an all-purpose running back, Williams tallied 6 touchdowns, 706 kick-off returns for 1,167 yards, 407 rushing yards, and 10 receptions for 54 receiving yards. Afterward, as a junior, he scored 6 touchdowns on 70 carries and rushed 470 yards.
Leaving in his senior year, Trey Williams decided to enter the 2015 NFL draft and signed with the Washington Redskins as a free agent. After that, he played for several other football teams from different leagues like Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts (NFL), Toronto Argonauts, and Calgary Stampeders (Canadian Football League), etc. Now, he plays for the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League.
