Albert Timothy Bentley is a former American football player. Born on August 15, 1960, Albert Bentley had an eventful life. He used to play as a running back in the National Football League for the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers. He is an aspiring footballer for many young aspirants in the football world.

School Life and career

Albert was known for his skills in his high school times also. He attended Immokalee High School, where he used to play football as well. His excellent football skills landed him a full scholarship to the University of Miami.

College Career

Bentley attended the University of Miami with the scholarship he had received. He played in the official team for the University of Miami under the guidance of coach Howard Schnellenberger 8-times where he started a game. He had 18 attempts and covered 60 yards in rushing. He also scored the winning touchdown in the 1984 Orange Bowl.

Professional career

Michigan Panthers

The Michigan Panthers selected Bentley with the seventh overall pick in the 1984 USFL Territorial Draft. Later, the group joined the Oakland Invaders in 1985. While playing for the Oakland Invaders, Albert showcased one of the best performances of his career. He managed to play 18 games where he covered 1,020 yards with an average of 5.3. He also secured the highest attempt of 191 with the Oakland Invaders themselves.

Indianapolis Colts

In 1984, he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the NFL Supplemental Draft of USFL and CFL players. Bentley continued to play with Indianapolis Colts for 7-seasons from 1885 to 1991. Overall, Bentley played 88 games, and he started 33 of them.

During his career, Albert stood out from the others with constant determination for improvements. He played 109 games and started 50 of them in the National Football League. With 3703 yards in rushing and 842 attempts, he has proven his strengths in the world of football.
