Jeremy Hill was born on 20th October 1992. He is a former American football running back who became interested in football during his college days at Louisiana State University. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted him in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He showed excellent performance in his rookie year. However, Hill could not perform well in the rest of the season due to his injuries. Then he signed a contract with the Patriots, with whom he won a Super Bowl while on the injured reserve.
Jeremy Hill is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His parents got him admitted into Redemptorist High School. Hill was greatly interested in different sports during his school days. As a result, he participated in football, baseball, and track. After trying his hands in varied sports, Hill chose football for his professional career.
Hill was an All-American running back and played for the Wolves. He and La'el Collins were on the same team during their high school days. He managed 302 carries for 2,260 yards and 36 touchdowns during his senior season in 2010.
Hill was regarded as a four-star recruit by the Rivals.com recruiting service. Moreover, he was listed as the No.21 running back prospect in the class of 2011.
Hill joined Louisiana State University for his undergraduate course. However, his interest in football helped him play for head coach Les Miles. As a result, Hill played in the 2012 and 2013 seasons during his college days.
2012 season
In the 2012 season, Hill was a redshirt freshman. However, he was an instant contributor to the team and helped his team play well. Hill combined with Spencer Ware, Kenny Hilliard, Michael Ford, Alfred Blue, and Russell Shepard to form powerful rushing attacks in the SEC. His consistent performance helped him achieve ten rushes for 61 yards and two touchdowns against Idaho.
Hill played his first game in the conference on 6th October and managed two rushes for eight yards against Florida in their annual rivalry game. However, within a week, Hill improved his performance and had 17 rushes for 124 yards and two touchdowns against South Carolina.
On 20th October, Hill gave another stellar performance and had 18 rushes for 127 yards and a touchdown against Texas A&M. However, he did not stop and gave another magnificent performance against Alabama in their annual rivalry game. He managed 29 rushes for 107 yards and a touchdown against Alabama.
In the next game against Mississippi, Hill had 20 rushes for 77 yards. Moreover, he also managed a career-high three touchdowns against the opponents. Excellent performance in his freshman year helped him gain 142 rushes for 755 yards and 12 touchdowns.
2013 season
Hill played as a sophomore in the 2013 season. He had six rushes for 50 yards in the season's opening match. Moreover, he managed a touchdown against Alabama-Birmingham. Hill improved his performance in the next week and managed 11 rushes for 117 yards and two touchdowns against Kent State. His stellar performance during the season helped him reach the top on the tally table. On 21st September, he had 25 rushes for a career-high 184 yards and three touchdowns against eventual SEC champion Auburn.
In January 2014, Hill added more records to his career. He had 28 rushes for 216 yards and two touchdowns against Iowa in the 2014 Outback Bowl. As a result, he was named MVP of the bowl game for his performance against the Hawkeyes. To end the 2013 season, Hill was selected as the first team in the All-Southeastern Conference. His excellent performance during the two seasons marked the beginning of his football career.
