Born on October 30, 1980, Kareem Lamar Rush is a former American professional basketball player who played as a shooting guard. His younger brother, Brandon Lamar Rush, played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, while his older brother JaRon played for UCLA's college basketball team.
After graduating from the Pembroke Hill High school in Kansas City, Kareem Lamar Rush went on to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia in the state of Missouri, where he played as a standout guard in the college Basketball team. Notably, Kareem Lamar Rush also averaged around 19.8 points per game as a junior, leading the Basketball team, Tigers, to the Western Regional Finals in the NCAA tournament, where they lost the match to Oklahoma. As a sophomore Kareem Lamar Rush in the 2000-2001 season, the basketball player led the Big 12 in scoring, averaging 21.1 points per game. During this particular time, Kareem Lamar Rush worked with the world-famous conditioning coach, the one and only Istvan Javorek.
Los Angeles Lakers (2002-2004)
In his junior season, Kareem Lamar Rush entered the 2002 NBA draft and was the 20th pick overall by the Toronto Raptors. Then, they suddenly traded the rights and regulations to the Los Angeles Lakers. Like his elder brother JaRon, Kareem Lamar Rush was also projected in the list of top 10 picks. But just like his brother, Kareem suddenly slipped down much further than as anticipated by various people.
Charlotte Bobcats (2004-2006)
In around 14 games in the 2004-2005 season, the Los Angeles Lakers even traded Kareem Lamar Rush to the basketball team of Charlotte Bobcats for 2 future second-round draft picks in Charlotte Bobcats. Fortunately, Kareem Lamar Rush even found a more prominent role. As a matter of fact, Kareem Lamar Rush started and averaged more than 25 minutes and 11.5 points in every basketball match. Incidentally, Kareem Lamar Rush was waived off the club in November 2008 to make an alternative room for replacement as 2 frontcourt players who suffered and experienced sustained injuries.
