Quintus McDonald
Football Player, America
About
Quintus Alonzo McDonald was a former American football player who competed in the NFL. He was born on December 14, 1966, in Rockingham, North Carolina. He won the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year award following his senior year of high school in 1984 at Montclair (New Jersey) High. McDonald had other goals in mind, despite the fact that playing football in high school helped him become well-known nationwide.
McDonald attended Montclair High, New Jersey. He was a great player in the beginning, but his addiction made it very tough for him in every aspect.
During his time as an undergrad at Penn State University, he played as a linebacker. Serious Penn State fans are aware of his past; an ongoing battle with addiction that started in high school stopped him from achieving the majority of his initial objectives in football and life. He spent four seasons playing for Penn State, including as a linebacker reserve on the championship squad in 1986, but he didn't start games on a regular basis until he was a senior in 1988.
The Indianapolis Colts selected McDonald in the sixth round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He played in 40 games with the Colts between 1989 and 1991.
Even though he could not live the life he had envisioned, he was not ready to quit. He decided to finish his microeconomics degree, which he had started but put off due to his addictions, after getting married to Karen Smith in 2013.
McDonald was never afraid to talk about his addictions or how he beat them. Millions of people have been inspired to take action by him during his life. His enjoyment in sharing his experiences with others has been one of his hobbies. His ambitions from high school came true, and he finished what he set out to do. In addition to being an outstanding football player, he also sets a great example for many young people.
Highest sack McDonald achieved his career-high sacks of 2 during the 1989 season with Indianapolis Colts.
