Early life and career

Walker had a normal high school like his fellow athletes. He attended Santa Ana Valley in California. He had been invested in football from a very young age. His efforts were recognized by many around him.

College career

In the 1977 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals picked in the fourth round. He played for 3 seasons with them from 1977-1979. Walker appeared in 31 games for them, starting three of them. Afterward, he moved to the Washington Redskins in the year 1980, and he was a big part of the team while winning Super Bowl XVII. After retiring from professional football, he decided to be a radio sports commander. Walker is a sports journalist who currently works for radio broadcasts in the Washington Metropolitan Area. On ESPN 980, he has his own show that he hosts. He is the host of a weekly television show called "Doc Walker's ProView," which can be seen on MASN. Previously, he was a color commentator for Westwood One's college football broadcasts and a sideline reporter and occasional color commentator for the NFL. Besides this, he was also Raycom Sports' main color commentator for ACC football games with Steve Martin until the 2010 season.
